Student University Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering 2022

Already at university as a student and in presence? Experience university for a week from July 25 to 29, 2022 with civil and environmental engineers.

The registration for the „Schüleruni“ (University for students) Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering 2022 has started:

  • You should have completed at least grade 10.
  • In addition, it would be desirable if you have taken or would like to take an advanced course in mathematics or physics. However, it is not a necessary prerequisite.

Fourteen students from Germany, Turkey and Belgium participated in last year's Schüleruni.

Together with a total of twelve institutes and chairs of our faculty, they were able to gain insights into the university life of a future civil or environmental engineer. During the 5-day project week, the students saw, for example, which building materials exist and how they are used (ibac), which records in the construction industry have been set or broken so far (IMB), what the art of thermography is and what it has to do with the indoor climate (E3D). Despite the digital format, the students had the unique opportunity to help design a "green wave" (ISB) or an airport and simulate airport operations (VIA). Whether it's construction or transportation, the environmental aspect has always been at the forefront of what's going on. Participants also heard a scientific analysis and explanation of how the flooding of the recent past could happen (IWW).

This year, you can expect exciting lectures with interaction and exchange rounds with the lecturers, tours of various experimental and laboratory facilities, joint learning and participation in the Makerspace, and much more.

We welcome you and look forward to meeting you in person in a face-to-face format!

Additional information about the Schüleruni - also from the other departments - can be found on the central Schüleruni website.
