Timber Construction Award 2023 awarded at RWTH Aachen University

On the end of July the Timber Construction Award was awarded the second time for an outstanding final work at RWTH Aachen University. The award winner is Ms. Svenja Kann, M.Sc., who convinced with her outstanding master thesis on the topic “Numerical modeling of the load-bearing behavior of wood panel buildings based on test results“. The prize endowed with 3.500 € was brought to life in 2020 by Burkhard Walter, the owner oft he engineering office Walter + Reif at Aachen, in corporation with Prof. Benno Hoffmeister, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and with proRWTH. Burkhard Walter donated this prize to increase the visibility of timber construction at RWTH University.

The next Timber Construction Award is planned for 2025.
