Civil Engineering with Orientation Semester (BIOS) - Civil Engineering Plus Subprogramme (B.Sc.)

General Information

In the summer semester of 2020, the Bachelor's programme "Civil Engineering with Orientation Semester" will start as a cooperative programme between RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen.

Target Group

The programme is aimed at students who wish to gain realistic insights into the civil engineering course at both universities in order to be able to make their individual study decision for a type of university and, if necessary, a later specialisation.

The cooperated Bachelor's degree programme "Civil Engineering with Orientation Semester" of the FH Aachen and RWTH Aachen is an independent degree programme consisting of a joint first semester of the two universities and a subsequent partial degree programme at one of the two universities.

The partial study courses essentially correspond to the study courses of the departments and faculties involved. An additional eighth semester offers students at RWTH Aachen University the opportunity to gain international experience and practical experience as well as non-academic skills shortly before graduating. The standard period of study includes eight full-time semesters (4 years) including the preparation of the bachelor thesis.

Admission and application for the 1st semester is handled by the FH Aachen. The deadlines of the FH Aachen apply.
