  • Call for applications for DAAD scholarship programs for international students and doctoral candidates: Application period May 2022

    Apply now: DAAD Scholarships for international students


    DAAD and @rwthinternationaloffice are offering two scholarships for international students. The next application period starts on May 1, 2022.

    1. Scholarship for Completing Studies for Students and Doctoral Candidates: a scholarship for international students and doctoral candidates who are currently in their final period of their studies with good academic performance and who are facing financial hardships due to their academic obligations (bachelor or master thesis).

    2. Scholarship for Particularly Involved International Students: awarded to international students who, in addition to their good academic performance, are characterized through outstanding extracurricular work in the international context of the university. Involvement in an international context can include, for example, mentoring international students as a buddy or involvement in student initiatives.

  • Study and research scholarships for IIT Madras and AIT Bangkok (pdf: 1018 kb)

    Master students and Ph.D. students have the opportunity to receive financial support for planned study and research stays at IIT Madras and AIT Bangkok. The scholarships are awarded by the DAAD-funded Global Water and Climate Adaptation Centre - Aachen, Bangkok, Chennai, Dresden (ABCD-Centre).   • Summer School 2022: ENHANCE Blended Intensive Programme (pdf: 673 kb)

    On July 18/19 and July 25-29, 2022, the Faculty of Civil Engineering will hold its first Summer School. It is offered by the Institute of Geomechanics and Subsoil Engineering under the direction of Professor Raul Fuentes and is exclusively for students of the ENHANCE Alliance.

    Our partner university the Université Catolique de Lille offers an exciting and diverse summer program for international students.

  • International Science and Technology Week at the University of Zaragoza

    From July 11 to 15, 2022, you will again have the opportunity to participate in the International Science and Technology Week at the University of Zaragoza in Spain. Presentations regarding research projects, visits to laboratories and institutes, a city tour, and a trip to the Pyrenees are planned. For students, in addition to the free participation, accommodation and two meals per day will be provided. Students must be between 18 and 25 years old and enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in engineering or science. The application deadline is May 22, 2022.   • Summerschools at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (pdf: 1631 kb)

    Until May 31, 2022, you have the chance to apply for a place in the free hybrid summer school in the CREATE or SWITCH program. There is a choice of different courses, such as Bioclimatic architecture, Building structures design, Drawing, Painting and Composition Workshop and Thermomoderinzation of existing buildings.

  • NRC-MITACS-RWTH Globalink Research Award Program

    In cooperation with the National Research Council Canada and MITACS, a "Research Internship Program" has been in place since 2021, which enables RWTH students in the Master's program as well as doctoral students to carry out 6-12 month research internships at Canadian universities in cooperation with the National Research Council. The research internships are endowed with up to 18,000 CAD and there are 20-25 places available per year. The program is principally open to all technical and scientific disciplines, further information can be found on the website. Furthermore, there is also the possibility to generate new projects directly in cooperation with interested institutes of the RWTH.

  • Summer school focusing on municipal engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology

    Based on concrete practical examples, topics of urban planning, such as modeling of urban traffic, use of rainwater and urban greening, will be covered from August 8 to 17, 2022. There will be numerous excursions, such as to Villa Tugendhat, to the future intelligent urban district "Brno South Center", to the barracks in Veveří Street, to the Water Management Laboratory, to the Brno Reservoir and to the currently developing urban district Jižní čtvrť.

    The goal of the summer school is to design a district for a brownfield site in the city of Brno with the lowest possible carbon footprint and according to the principle of sustainable urban development.

  • Scholarships of the Fellowship for Student Exchange in Central and Eastern Europe (GFPS) e. V. (pdf: 604 kb)

    The GFPS, in cooperation with the Foundation for German-Polish Scholarships, awards scholarships for language courses, study visits, and internships in the Czech Republic and Poland for the summer semester of 2023. The application deadline for all calls is 31.10.2022.

  • Open Day for exchange students - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon

    The Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, also known as INSA, is a French scientific university. It is one of the Grande Écoles, which functioned and still function as training centers for the leading elite in the state, military, economy, science, and culture and thus form the most prestigious group of the French higher education system. In prestige, they often rank far ahead of common universities. The university itself is located on the La Doua campus in Villeurbanne, in the Lyon area. Among the approximately 5,400 students, there are 4,500 students studying in the field of engineering.

  • DE&CO Design and Construct International Steel Bridge Competition at Boğaziçi University Construction Club

    De&Co, Design & Construct, is one of the oldest and biggest competitions of our club. In this event, teams attempt to build the best 6 meters wide steel bridge among other competitors. Applicant teams send us their projects. After evaluation of Boğaziçi University Civil Engineering Department jury, pre-qualified 16 teams secure their place to build their bridge in South Campus overlooking the fascinating Bosporus.     We think that this competition is beneficial for our competitors to meet people from the construction sector from different countries and to breathe the air of the competitive environment, which is the fragment of the business world.     DCHAN - The German-Chinese Alumni Network.
