Information for Exchange Students

It is possible that not all of the faculty's courses are open to exchange students. The partner university and exchange reports may provide further information.

Please note that, in general, the majority of courses taken must be chosen from the cooperating faculty. At least 20 ECTS must be taken at the Universidade de Porto. At least 60% of the courses from the selected FEUP's Main Program must be taken by the cooperating faculty.

The language requirements depend on the language that the chosen courses are held in. Students who only choose coursees taught in English do not need to prove Portuguese language proficiency.

Practical Information


The university offers limited spots in the student dorms as well as assistance in finding accommodation.

More information about the search for accommodation on the private housing market (price ranges on average from about 200 to 250 euros).

Health Insurance Health insurance for abroad and private liability insurance are required for the entire duration of the stay.
