Six scientists conduct research as "RWTH Fellows" 2013
"The RWTH Fellows are a good example of retaining first-class professors at the university. They go to scientists who have distinguished themselves in research," says Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Doris Klee, Prorector for Human Resources and Young Scientists at RWTH. Support as an "RWTH Fellow" is a component of the "Place to Be" measure under RWTH's Institutional Strategy II. The support is project-related and offers, for example, the opportunity to focus on research for a certain period of time. The selection is made with the participation of external experts. "RWTH's goal is to be a Place to Be - a place where research and teaching at the highest level help university members from all fields to develop their full potential," Klee emphasizes.
In the Rector's Office, RWTH Fellows Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Sabina Jeschke from the Chair of Information Management in Mechanical Engineering and Center for Learning and Science Management, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Ralph Panstruga from the Department of Molecular Cell Biology of Plants, Prof. Dr.rer.soc. Ute Habel from the Department of Neuropsychological Gender Research, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefanie Reese from the Institute of Applied Mechanics, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heinz Pitsch from the Institute of Technical Combustion and Prof. Dr. Petri Mähönen from the Institute of Networked Systems.
