funding desicion BrainTrain JuLiA received

On December 22, 2021, NRW Minister of Transport Ina Brandis presented a funding notification for the "BrainTrain JuLiA" project at the Jülich train station. As part of the project, self-driving train traffic is to be researched on the line between Jülich and Linnich. The initial funding will enable the Rurtalbahn and the project partners, among other things, to purchase and convert a rail vehicle for trial and test operations. On the RWTH Aachen side, the VIA, IFS and IRT are involved.
