Successful Appointment of Prof. Klemt-Albert
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Katharina Klemt-Albert follows the call to RWTH Aachen University and will take over the management of the Chair and Institute of Construction Management starting August 01, 2021.

My team and I are looking forward to the creative opportunities!" says Professor Klemt-Albert and adds: "In the next few months, we will roll up our sleeves and carry out a research-oriented realignment of the institute in the direction of digitization and automation. Our new lab will play an important role in this - it's going to be really cool, I can reveal that much already."
Professor Klemt-Albert moves from Leibniz Universität Hannover, where she has headed the Institute for Construction Management and Digital Construction since 2016. Her academic career began with studies in civil engineering at Ruhr University in Bochum. In 2001, she earned a doctorate with honors from the Technical University of Darmstadt in cooperation with Northwestern University/USA.
Professor Klemt-Albert has extensive management and industrial experience. She spent 14 years in top management at Deutsche Bahn AG, most recently as managing director of an international engineering company with 1,500 employees. She was responsible for a multitude of national and international large-scale and mega projects with a focus on the Arab region, Asia and South America. She is also the founder of albert.ing GmbH, a specialized provider for digital construction and digital transformation.
