Contructive Structural Engineering

 

Graduates of this specialization focus on structural building construction with emphasis on high-rise construction as well as industrial construction and the reconstruction of existing buildings.

Students will recieve an in-depth education in core subjects in the area of structural engineering including courses such as structural engineering, solid construction, steel and timber construction. The study of structural buildings provide a basic understanding of key aspects such as structural behavior, design, dimensioning, and building material selection depending of technical and economic requirements. Our students acquire knowledge about the design and operation of necessary building technology through the fundamentals that we teach in subjects such as building technology and construction.

The ability to solve engineering problems analytically stands at the forefront of the training, so that engineers in structural engineering can both work on and solve challenging questions concerning planning, execution, and maintenance of buildings. Graduate are therefore well prepared for the pursuit of a career in academia, for example in the form of a doctorate.
